Former Dynamos legend and Footballers Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) communication officer, Norman Maroto, died in the early hours of Friday, June 28, 2024.
ZIFA has issued a statement confirming his passing.
'He succumbed to flu-like symptoms and was admitted to a Harare hospital. This came after he attended a funeral last week,' a reliable source said.
Maroto was 40 years old. He was paving a new career and helping retired football players to switch to new careers.
Fans reacted with heartfelt comments on social media, as one post read: "We will definitely miss Maroto, he was an exceptional talent and earned great admiration and respect from his fans and colleagues."
Mourners are gathered at No. 2360 Tynward South in Harare.
