Parents call for the abolishment of $3 extra lessons fee in Budiriro schools. According to the annual general meeting upheld in Budiriro schools, parents explore how the economic delapidation impacts on their pockets.

"Both teachers and us other parents we are civil servants,we obtain meagre salaries at the end of month due to inflation.

$3 is a lot of money we cannot afford it every week .Due to the sky rocketing of prices the salary we get might not be enough to accommodate all of my three children,"said Mrs Tilda Mafuta. Teachers shift focus to those children without extra lesson fee for that particular moment. "For a child to acquire education,a parent should empty their pockets and make that of the teacher full.

As early as ECD A,extra lessons are being conducted.If you do not pay,teachers do not supervise a child's work,"said Mr Tonderai Muwori.

However, parents desires for the installation of the old order in which extra lessons were not compulsory, it was by choice. Parents also proposed an additional extra fee that suits all and being paid once added on the tuition fee.

"As a parent we are comfortable with adding a $1 every term ,the extra fee belongs to the teacher and should be paid once a term.

If we agree on this as parents ,we promise to pay fees on time and also clear our debts, said Mrs Linda Gwidibira.
