Gweru based side Telone Fc have already geared up preparations for this year's Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) with a bigger chunk of player's having featured in the run to promotion.

After clinching the title in last year's Ruvimbo Central Region Soccer League Telone wasted no time in preparing for a PSL.

The pre season run has been a hype of activity for the Gweru based side.

Telone has so far traveled to Manica Diamonds in Mutare where they played 2 matches, sharing spoils in the initial game while losing 2 nil in the second.

On the 10th of February Telone Fc played Sheasham Fc in a local derby played at Bata Stadium.

While commenting on the sidelines of a pre season derby at Bata stadium against Sheasham Telone Head coach Tendai Chikuni said WiFi Boys have compiled a team boasting of players from the previous division one league run.

"Basically we have a team consisting of players from last season and also new guys we have brought in the foil. So the plan is to allow the fresh guys fit in with an already existing squad consisting largely of division one players."

Chikuni added that he is impressed with his charges so far.

"Look, the boys have shown their character so in the pre season. We played Manica Diamonds in early February and it was a good encounter against PSL runners. We believe in our style of play."

The former Fc Platinum and Chapungu gaffer concluded the interview citing that there is need to add more effort in the strike force.

"As a team we feel that there is need to add more effort in the strike force. That's one area we are going to work on as team."

Telone Fc, who will be using Bata stadium also played Bulawayo Chiefs in January as preparation for the PSL scheduled to start early match.

Player's retained include speedy winger Blessing Sahondo, gun man Blessing Sibanda and captain Ballack Nyabinde.
