In a recent development the Russian invasion of Ukraine has escalated as North Korea sent troops to join the fight against Ukraine.

Ukraine has been supported by the west including the United States of America, the European Union and NATO countries.

The Russian fight against Ukraine has been going on for 2 years. The conflict started in February 2022 and Russia has been fighting alone without any support.

Ukraine had previously received military aid from the United States and most of the NATO countries that are against Russia.

Russia was isolated and slapped with sanctions but they have found an ally in North Korea.

North Korea's military is known as the fourth largest military in the world with about 1.2 million soldiers.

U.S officials reported that North Korean soldiers are already operating in the Kursk region in western Russia , where Ukrainian forces are staging a counteroffensive.
