ANOT 2025 lives up to expectation
The fifth edition of A Night of Thanksgiving (ANOT), hosted by the talented Janet Manyowa, was an unforgettable experience that left a lasting impression on all who attended.
This year's event, themed "Grace upon Grace," was held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on New Year's Day, and it was indeed a night to remember.
The anticipation in the air was palpable as fans flocked to the HICC, eager to experience the concert that had become a staple in the festive calendar.
The venue was adorned with a world-class stage, meticulously crafted by Evolution Events from Zambia, which glittered under the soft glow of lights. The Gratitude Wall stood proudly at the entrance, inviting attendees to share their reflections on gratitude as they stepped into the new year.
Fans rushed to fill it with messages of hope, love, and appreciation, creating a beautiful mosaic of shared experiences and aspirations.
The evening's festivities kicked off with a performance by Patience Masiyambiri, who set the tone for the night with her powerful vocals. The Cherayi's, Ellard and Sharon, then took to the stage, warming up the crowd with their energetic performance.
Minister Mahendere's high-energy performance had the entire auditorium on its feet, dancing and singing along to his infectious beats. Zimpraise, a renowned gospel choir, also delivered a show-stopping performance that left the audience in awe. Desire Makoni, a talented artist from Zimpraise, performed his hit song "Hoyo Mushandiri Washe" with aplomb, showcasing his artistic flair and leaving the crowd cheering for more.
Janet Manyowa, the host and headlining act, was stunning in a red dress as she performed her hit songs, including "Anotida" from her new album "Worship Moments (Open Heavens)," "Zadzisa," and "Nyasha neNgoni." The crowd sang along, waving their hands in the air as Janet brought the house down with her incredible talent.
What made the evening truly special was the sense of community and gratitude that permeated the air. Janet's decision to bring kids on stage to sing along with her and shower them with presents was a heartwarming moment that left many in the audience tearful.
The star-studded lineup, which included Takesure Zamar, Bridget Ndanga, Pastor Bonnie, Dr. Tumi, Everton Mlalazi, Lebo Sekgobela, and Pastor Bonnie Deuschle, delivered flawless performances that kept the crowd entertained throughout the night.
The evening's special performances from South African gospel sensation Dr. Tumi and Lebo Sekgobela were also a highlight of the night. Their powerful vocals and inspiring messages left a lasting impact on all who attended.
