Ridigita prison farm commissioned
The Officer Commanding Mashonaland East Province Commissioner Goerge Sibanda commissioned the refurbished irrigation equipment at Ridigita Prison Farm this week.
Speaking at the commissioning event Commissioner Sibanda highlighted that the refurbishment of the irrigation equipment is expected to significantly enhance production levels at Ridigita Prison Farm.
''The commissioning of the refurbished irrigation equipment is quite a defining moment in the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service's quest to improve production at Ridigita Prison Farm, ‘said Commissioner Sibanda.
''Ridigita Prison Farm is of strategic importance to the Mashonaland East Province ,the entire Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service ZPCS and the country at large, ‘said Commissioner Sibanda.
The Officer -in- charge Ridigita Prison Farm , Chief Superintendent Thomas Chiwire expressed gratitude to the ZPCS Management for their efforts in refurbishing the irrigation equipment which will greatly enhance the station's agriculture activities.
