Madziwa hungry for top flight football

Football in Manicaland has always been like bread, our daily bread so they say in the house of the Lord.

As such this article dives into a budding career of a budding Mutare talent, one that has gone unnoticed, a PSL fit and a midfielder looking forward to gun a fortune in the future.

Takudzwa Madziwa, is an attacking midfielder aged 25. Just like many football players out there his sole dream is to play the highest level of football.

He is a force in Mutare, one to reckon with. A chat with Madziwa shows how passionate the lad is when it comes to playing football.

Having played for Mbare National (D1, Northern region), Greenfuel (Eastern region) and Mutare City Rovers (Eastern region) Madziwa, popularly known as Herera in local football circles believes its high time he tastes the elite competition.

“My dream is to play in top flight because I believe that I am at that level. As a player you think of growing the career which is good because it allows you to gain experience and benefit from exposure,” said Madziwa.

According to Madziwa his career climax was his stint at Greenfuel.

“It was a great moment, one I will never forget and it’s amazing that I was part of the team that gained top spot position in the Eastern region. Unfortunately, I was not part of the PSL team but its football. All that is left is to better myself and make a mark.”

“Herera” has always received inspiration from his parents, a feat that is unknown by other players.

“I loved football from a tender age. I was lucky to receive inspiration from my parents because most players are discouraged by their own folks,” added Madziwa.

Madziwa, bred in Chikanga has been training with division 1 debutants Destiny of Africa. H looks forward to maintain the same form.

Meanwhile the eastern region will commence soon. Triangle Fc, relegated from the previous PSL season are looking forward to bounce back to the top flight.

They roped in experience cast including Thabani Kamusoko, Dominic Mukandi, and Ali Sadiki.

Mutare City Rovers, Buffaloes, Fc Wangu Mazodze and Rusitu Tigers are looking forward to challenge for the title as the league commences.
