Madzibaba Benji supports President ED's call against drugs

It was a historic event hosted by Madzibaba Benji on Sunday in Mashonaland East at Chibwino Secondary School where over 5 000 people marched and gathered at the school in the drive against drug and substance abuse.

Madzibaba Benji born Matamba Daniel leader of Johane Masowe eChishanu supports the vision of President Mnangagwa against drug and substance abuse.

President Mnangagwa is vocal against drug abuse and his administration has been working tirelessly to curb drug and substance abuse.

Madzibaba Benji of the apostolic sect believes in the vision of the President. He supports the work being done by the Second Republic and Vision 2030. When the church supports the vision of the country the leader is bound to prosper.

President Mnangagwa continously says "Nyika inovakwa nekunamatirwa nevene vayo." The President has continued to receive support from the church and Madzibaba Benji is one leader who has been supporting the President.

More recently, there was a church event at State House where church leaders and congregants were invited. This continues to show how committed President Mnangagwa is to work with the church and Madzibaba Benji has continued to support the work being done by the President and government.

Madzibaba Benji hosted an event on Sunday 9 November 2025 at Chibwino Secondary School in Mashonaland East. Madzibaba Benji is working with his congregants without external support working towards the vision of President Mnangagwa.

"People who are selling drugs should be given a tough sentence, there should be given a life sentence," said Madzibaba Benji.

Madzibaba Benji reiterated that children under the age of 17 should not be married. Child marriages are prohibited in Zimbabwe and this is the vision of the Second Republic to fight against child marriages.

The initiative was to support the President and Madzibaba Benji organized the event with his own resources. This is how Madzibaba supports the President. He is doing everything in his power to stop drug and substance abuse.

The event hosted a number of government officials from the Ministry of Women , Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health led by Mr Mafoko. The Ministry of Youth was also present and the ministry that is responsible to fight against drug and substance abuse led by Minister Tino Machakaire.

Chief Chinamhora was also present at the event and Obvious Bvute the Member of Parliament in the area sent a representative. Among the people gathered at the event included members of the Johane Masowe eChishanu apostolic sect.

Madzibaba Benji has an ambition to spread the drug and substance abuse campaign across all ten provinces. Madzibaba Benji is the first church leader who has taken the call to fight against drug and substance abuse. Other church leaders should follow Madzibaba Benji in the fight against drug and substance abuse. Madzibaba Benji is working with his congregants without external support.

Chief Chinamhora said that there is no room for drug abuse in his area and he prohibits child marriages.

"We are complementing the efforts being done by Madzibaba Benji. We are pleased through what we are witnessing today in the fight against drug abuse and the fight against child marriages being supported by Madzibaba Benji and Johane Masowe eChishanu," said by Teen Rescue Mission representative.

All the 5 000 people gathered at the event enjoyed a football match organized by Madzibaba Benji. Madzibaba Benji sponsored the jerseys that were used for the football match. The match was played by the youth and it is a good initiative that should be done in all ten provinces. The youth are idle with nothing to do and this leads them to start using drugs. The work by Madzibaba Benji to introduce young people to sport should help society in grooming better sports people.

There was a lot of food at the event that was provided by Madzibaba Benji and there were left overs. It was a good gesture by Madzibaba Benji to provide food for the event it shows love and humility that he has for the people.

One of the congregants Praise Mutsambi did a poem and said that young children should not be married. She emphasized that children should first persue education.

"Drugs have killed the nation and young people should have other activities such that they desist from drug abuse," said Lovemore Manyeruke.

The march was successful and there was testing for cancer, HIV/AIDS , BP and diabetes. The initiative that was started by Madzibaba Benji has light and can attract a lot of people and organizations. This would help the fight against drug abuse to be effective and bring change into the society.

Madzibaba Benji is an exemplary leader and a role model for the youth. He is doing a lot of things that other church leaders are not doing. He wants to move across all ten provinces spreading the message against drug and substance abuse. Young people across the country should support the work done by Madzibaba Benji.

The Word of God is direct that all authority is from God and there is no authority except from God.

Madzibaba Benji supports the vision of President Mnangagwa and as a leader knows that all authority is from God. The nation should understand that the church has a positive role to play in society. It has to guide the people through the right way. Every youth in Zimbabwe should support the work being done by Madzibaba Benji and should distance themselves from drugs.
