Madzibaba Benji praises the work by President E.D Mnangagwa
Johane Masowe eChishanu leader Madzibaba Benji was in Goromonzi North Constituency recently where he praised the work by His Excellency President E.D Mnangagwa and donated t-shirts in his community development drive.
Today News spoke to Madzibaba Benji on the occasion of a Speech and Prize Giving Day that was held at Howson Primary School.
"Firstly I want to thank President Dr E.D Mnangagwa with the issue of no to child marriages and the issue of drugs," said Madzibaba Bemji
Madzibaba Benji is consistent in his support for the end of drug and substance abuse. This is the second time he has made a call against drugs in Goromonzi North Constituency.
The Johane Masowe eChishanu leader has close to 3000 congregrants in Goromonzi constituency and he is a role model to many as both young and old look up to him.
On the sidelines of the Speech and Prize Giving Day he said that we were at Howson Primary School were there was a Speech and Prize Giving Day. Children were talking about ending drug and substance abuse.
"I want to thank Hon Scott Sakupwanya with the money that he pledged to fight the issue of drugs. I want to thank Sir Wicknel with the money that he pledged to fight the problem of drugs that is in our country, " said Madzibaba Benji.
Madzibaba Benji was accompanied by his security detail , women of his church and his close associate an elder who is affectionately known as "Mudzimu".
The apostolic church leader said, "We want a drug free Zimbabwe by 2030. An end to drugs and substance abuse and an end to child marriages."
Madzibaba Benji is an influential voice in Zimbabwe that is calling for an end to child marriages, end of Gender Based Violence and drugs and subtance abuse.
The world is celebrating the 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence (GBV) and the apostolic church is calling against GBV.
"We as the apostolic church we are encouraging children to stop drugs and children should go to school. Today I have seen future ministers and doctors," said Madzibaba Benji
