Madzibaba Benji follows Wicknell Chivhayo's footsteps on his birthday

Johane Masowe eChishanu apostolic sect leader Madzibaba Benji celebrated his birthday on Saturday 17 January 2026 where many people gathered including congregants, guests and the elderly.

Born Daniel Matamba, Madzibaba Benji is an influential church leader who has demonstrated humility especially to the local people in Shamva.

Madzibaba Benji said that he has learnt a valuable lesson from Wicknell Chivhayo who continues to give and that no one becomes poor by giving to others.

In his speech Madzibaba Benji reiterated that his philanthropic work was inspired by businessman Wicknell Chivhayo who has done many tangible things for the people of Zimbabwe.

Madzibaba Benji donated blankets, food hampers during his birthday celebrations. His good gesture of giving back to the elderly was remarkable.

There were distinguished guests that were at Madzibaba Benji's birthday celebrations. Guests were Chief Chinamhora, Paul Mutamba ( Madzibaba Benji's father) , Arista Marimbizhike DCC chairman, Assan Seremani DCC vice chairman, Councillor Chako and Clement Chinhanga.

Other guests included Clever Mushayi , Remedy Mushonga, Dr Aaron , Forget Chirumuta , Madzibaba Biology , Tatenda Kamuto , Madzibaba Ony and other apostolic sect leaders who are friends with Madzibaba Benji were present at the event

ZANU PF members were also present at the birthday celebrations at Chabwino Primary School.

Madzibaba Benji received a variety of gifts including livestock ,land , cash and clothing. Thiw showed how Madzibaba Benji has grown to be an influential figure in the Shamva community.

Madzibaba Mabhiza who was the guest speaker commended the work being done by Madzibaba Benji in the rural areas. He is taking the gospel to marginalised communities.

The public is looking forward to Madzibaba Benji's outreach programmes in 2026. He has previously made campaigns against drug and substance abusw and his effort to end child marriages as per the Vision 2030 agenda.
