Amorim in Castle test
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim and the reds will have to dig deep today as they take on another tricky customer, Newcastle United.
Manchester United have won two games in the last five.
After a disappointing outing against Wolves (2 nill loss) on Boxing day Amorim believes that it's a tough moment for club.
"I said it before to you guys that this will be a tough moment and we are far from the end of this moment and that's it. We have to continue and focus on the next game," said Amorim while talking to Sky Sports.
Amorim tenure at Manchester United has landed on the down side.
Of the 10 games he is in charge Amorim has registered 5 losses, 1 less of Walter Crickmer record of 6 in 10 that was in 1932.
Amorim is the first Manchester United manager to lose as many as five of his first 10 games in charge of the club in all competitions since Walter Crickmer in January 1932 (six/10).
Newcastle look forward to continue with their winning form. They won 3 nill against Aston Villa on Boxing day a carry over from their previous 4 nill win against new boys Ipswich Town.
The reds have so far played 18 matches gaining six wins. It has not been rosy for the men from Old Trafford who have lost eight times sharing spoils four times.
The match starts at 8pm at Old Trafford
